Centrally fitted fresh water tank positioned down the middle of the vehicle between the fuel tank and the exhaust heat shielding. The rear of the tank sits just in front of the rear suspension arm cross member on an L1 and one section forward of this on an L2. (There is space on an L2 for an additional tank behind). It is positioned against wiring harness retaining strap stud on the exhaust side to leave minimal clearance from fuel tank. The front face of the tank is level with the Adblu tank, which leaves a large amount of space in front of the tank to fit heaters, etc.
Adjacent to the exhaust heat shielding is a wire harness in a ‘J’ bracket that is clipped to cross member. The ‘J’ wiring harness support bracket needs twisting slightly away to clear the tank.
This wiring may need to be unclipped from the cross member and cable tied to an adjacent hole nearer to heat shielding to allow tank to centre if this is pushing it too close to the fuel tank.
2 identical brackets used. Currently steel but will be galvanised shortly.
Rear bracket requires 2 x 4” hookbolts. These both hook into the front lip of the ‘J’ shaped cross member.
Front brackets require 2 x 4” hookbolts that need 9/10mm holes drilled both sides on rear face of cross member.
Connections are to rear offside face of tank. All variations available, eg pressure fill, gravity fill or waste.
The waste tank is designed to fit on the driver side of the vehicle between the chassis and the sill behind the driver’s front step, rearwards. The raised central part of the tank fits up in between the cross members to touch the floor. There is a metal bracket on the inner sill of the vehicle that prevents the front corner of the tank sitting in position. This is an unused bracket and will need to be bent either forwards or backwards out of the way to allow tank to sit properly in position.
The tank is fitted using two identical brackets. Each bracket has one short leg and one long leg. The long leg sits on the chassis side of the tank and the short let sits on the sill side of the tank.
The rear bracket chassis side requires a 4” hookbolt hooked into an existing hole in the base of the chassis. The sill side requires a 3” hookbolt hooked into an existing oval hole in the inner sill directly opposite.
The front bracket chassis side requires a 4” hookbolt hooked into an existing hole in the base of the chassis. The sill side requires a 3” hookbolt and needs a hole to be drilled to position directly opposite opposing bracket hole.
